Hannah T. Petryk is a Ukrainian American children’s writer whose work celebrates the richness of cultural heritage and the timeless power of storytelling. Born and raised in Ukraine, she carries with her the traditions, values, and folk artistry of her homeland. Now living and working in Arizona, Hannah draws on both her Ukrainian roots and her American experiences to create stories that resonate across cultures.

She is also the co-author of the bestselling children’s book The Queen of Spotland, a whimsical fairy tale about Dalmatians that seamlessly blends Ukrainian motifs with American storytelling, offering young readers a window into two cultures united by faith, kindness, imagination, and family traditions. Christmas in Spotland, the second book in the series, is coming this December.
